One of the elite Tahitian outrigger teams, Air Tahiti, visited Newport Aquatic Center (NAC) on their way home to Papeete, giving local paddlers the thrill of meeting world-class paddlers up-close. It was an inspiring day of paddling, posing for photos, and sharing the spirit of outrigger paddling—thanks to the Tahitians, whose love of the va’a continues to rub off on Southern California paddlers.
